Warriors Day
is a special event taking place in Russellville,
Arkansas, September 20, 2008, from 10am to 3pm. Arkansas
welcomes author Victoria Holmes, aka Erin Hunter. Warrior's
Day promotes literacy awareness in Arkansas, points our
attention to the needs of Arkansas Animals, provides a family
day out in celebration of the life of Emmy Cherry, her mother
Dana, and her father Jimmy, who lost their lives in the Tornado
that claimed the lives of 14 people on February 5, 2008.
Because of the compassion of Victoria Holmes, Kate Cary, and Cherith Baldry (aka Erin Hunter) Emmy and her parents will live
on forever as characters in Erin Hunter's bestselling series,
Warriors.
There will be a book signing at Vintage Books, 602 East Parkway in Russellville*. Erin Hunter will also be judging art contests, writing contests, pet shows, and a baking contest. There is a complete list of events on the page titled Warriors Day Schedule.
